Obituary of Terry Semeniuk

Terry Semeniuk beloved husband of Vivian Semeniuk of Calgary, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2008 at the age of 60 years. Terry retired after thirty five years with the UFA (United Farmers of Alberta Co-Operative Ltd.). Eight of those years were spent as president and CEO. He was a Calgary Co-op member for twenty six years, UFA Delegate to FCL for ten years and currently a Calgary Co-op Board member, and Vice Chair of the Calgary Co-op. He was also a past member of the Chamber of Commerce, the Rotary Club, and the town council. Terry enjoyed spending his free time as an avid antique collector, and had a love of sports. He had an extensive antique bottle collection and was a member of the Bottle Club, and former president, not to forget to mention looking after the numerous Real Estate and farm interests. He also managed to find time to do some private investigations work on the side. He was actively involved with his community including Heritage Park and charities such as Gold Eye, S.T.A.R.R.S, Alberta Children’s Hospitals as well as too many other charities to mention. Terry had passion for his work, but always made time for family gatherings as they meant so much to him. Besides his loving wife Vivian, Terry is survived by his son Kim and daughter-in-law Karina of Calgary; a grand-daughter Samantha of Calgary and his mother Katherine Semeniuk. He is also survived by his sister Nina Nakonechny and brother-in-law Alex, his twin siblings, sister Donna Hemeon, and brother Dennis Semeniuk and Sheri, father-in-law Leon St. Arnault, five sister-in–laws, four brother-in-laws as well as by many, nieces and nephews and their families. Terry was predeceased by his father Delmar Semeniuk, his mother-in-law, Marie St. Arnault, and by his nephew Jason Morrison. A Celebration of Life will be held at First Alliance Church (12345 – 40th Street S.E.) on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
