Obituary of Ermina MacLean

Mina passed away peacefully at the Bethany Harvest Hills on Thursday, November 6, 2008 at the age of 95 years. Mina was born in Trenton, Nova Scotia. It was here that she owned and operated her own restaurant, Mina’s Grill. In 1963 she moved west to Calgary and embarked in the field of practical nursing that she accomplished with great passion until her early 70’s. She was then able to concentrate on her hobbies of; knitting, baking, playing cards, bingo, travel and especially spending time with family. She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Margaret Jeane (Bob) Spisak and Shirley Aldred, both of Calgary, along with David (Mary) MacLean of Trenton, NS and Donnie (Carol) MacLean of New Glasgow, NS; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and a few great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Jean Skinner of Sydney, NS. Mina was predeceased by her husband John; her infant son Jackie; and her brother Edgar Humphreys.
