Obituary of Joseph Tucker

TUCKER – Joseph (Joe) Morris November 26, 1924 – November 5, 2008 Joe Tucker of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at the age of 83 years. Joe grew up in Calgary, attended Central High School, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Pharmacy. He owned and operated Tucker Drugs, a city landmark, for over forty years. Joe enjoyed nice cars and playing gin rummy, and golf with his many friends at Canyon Meadows Golf and Country Club. Joe is survived by his three sons and daughters-in-law, Lorne and Beverly, Ron and Kerry, Murray and Cathy; four grandchildren, David, Rebecca, Samuel and Jacki; and his three brothers. He was predeceased by his loving wife Sorch, in 1992, parents Nellie and Frank Tucker, and his brother Allan Tucker. Funeral Services will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, (North East Corner of Highway 22X & 37th Street S.W.,) on Friday, November 7, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at the Beth Tzedec Memorial Park, (122 Shalom Way S.W.).
