Obituary of Alexander Charles Johnston

Peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Alex passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008, in Calgary at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of fifty-nine years to Jane, adored father of Daintry Lynn (Mike Howard), and Nancy (Ted Wilkins); and cherished Papa of Ryan and Daniel, Kate, Leslie, Scott, and Michael. Born in Montreal, he was an RCAF veteran of WWII. He graduated from McGill University in 1949, and joined Bell Canada where he worked for over thirty years. Alex’s wonderful sense of humour, sharp mind, and love of life never left him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
