Obituary of Stanislawa Zalewski

Stanislawa (Stacey) Zalewski of Calgary, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her family, on Monday, October 20, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Stacey was born in Potasnia, Poland. She met her husband John Zalewski in 1960, after which they immigrated to Uranium City, SK, where they settled down and had four children, Rick, Sophie (Adrian), Waldy (Tammy), and Jane. In 1975, the family made the move to Calgary. Stacey was also blessed with six grandchildren, Nicholas, David, Mark, Thomas, Jake, and Ethan. She is also survived by her sister Sophie (Peter) and their children Adam (Catherine) Olivia and Christopher and friend Dana. Stacey spent and enjoyed many hours tending to her gardens. She was also an exceptional cook, especially when preparing meals of her traditional food. She will always be remembered for her marinated lamb (baran). Stacey will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humour and her easy nature in making many good friends. She will also be remembered for always putting the needs of others before her own. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1984. She then met Al Cesonis, her devoted companion who predeceased her in July 2008. We will always keep you close to our hearts, until we meet again.
