Obituary of Alveria Vera Larson

Alveria (Vera) Larson of Calgary passed away on October 14, 2008 at the age of 72 years. Al was born in rural Saskatchewan and attended school in Moose Jaw, SK. She was then employed with the local radio station CHAB. In the early fifties she moved to Calgary and began her career with CFCN. In 1983 she was the recipient of the Media Personality of the Year award. Al continued in the broadcasting industry opening her own advertising business. In her retirement over the past seven years she enjoyed gardening and her pets. Al is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Myrtle and Doug Brown; sister-in-law Hannah Larson; brother-in-law Ernie Yeadon all of Moose Jaw, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father in 1939, her mother in 1979, five sisters and four brothers. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.
