Obituary of Alfons John Koltes

Alfons Koltes beloved husband, father, opa and friend to many, passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving family at the Foothills Medical Centre on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Alfons was born in Trier, Germany and moved to Calgary in 1950. He met Emma (nee Hopfner) and they married in 1956. Alfons started out as a carpenter and eventually started his own house building company, Koltes Construction Ltd. and will be remembered as a well respected home builder. Alfons enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the cabin at Pine Lake and spending time with family and friends. Besides his wife Emma, Alfons is survived by two sons, Rene (Rhonda), Victor (Diane); daughter, Rose; three grandchildren, Matthew, Peter and Allana. Alfons is also survived by many relatives in Calgary and Germany. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at ST.
