Obituary of Diana Emmeline Elizabeth Potter

Diana Emmeline Elizabeth Potter (nee Blakely) beloved wife and companion of Barry Potter of Calgary, passed away unexpectedly at their home on Sunday, October 12, 2008 at the age of 59 years. Diana was born in Minto, NB on November 15, 1948 and lived in Calgary for the greater part of her life. Diana was an avid traveller and loved to share the stories of her adventures and experiences with all of those around her. Diana’s greatest pride and most prized accomplishment was her family. Diana will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Barry Potter of Calgary; her son and daughter and their spouses, Christopher and Holly Potter of Calgary and Shelley Potter and Katherine Pratt of Vancouver. Diana is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Dale (Maggie), Kevin (Fran), and Brent; as well as her father Marvin Blakely; and many other family members and even more friends. Diana was predeceased by her mother Doris Blakely in July of 2007. Before her passing, Diana’s most cherished role was that of a loving grandmother (“Gammy”) of three beautiful granddaughters; Chloe, Natalie and Brooke Potter. Gammy will continue to watch over these precious “sweethearts” from above with the same love and affection she had shown during her wonderful life. Diana, Sis, Mum, Auntie, Gammy was taken from us too early, but she will forever be alive in our hearts and our spirits for life and family.
