Obituary of Vito Gigantelli
Vito Antonio Gigantelli, beloved husband of forty-eight years of Pasquina of Calgary, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2008 at the age of 80 years.
Vito was the youngest of five born in Sammichele, Bari, Italy. He gave us strength, support, guidance, and love. Vito was a hard working, dedicated man who always made his family a priority and put others before himself. Vito’s happy positive spirit will be dearly missed by his wife Pasquina; sons, Giuseppe and his wife Julia, Giovanni and his wife Patricia, Antonio and his wife Adrienne; his precious grandchildren, Sarah, Jenna, Joshua, Anthony, and Marcus; as well as many nieces, nephews, family and friends here and abroad. Vito was predeceased by his parents, Giuseppe and Maria; three sisters, Laura, Caterina, and Donatella; and a brother Antonio. We will all mourn his passing and celebrate his spirit. We love you Papa/Nonno.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at 8:00 P.M.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Friday, October 17, 2008 at 10:30 A.M.
