Obituary of Elizabeth Eva Pettifer

Elizabeth Pettifer, beloved wife of Bob Pettifer, of Calgary, passed away on October 3, 2008. Liz was born on April 27, 1938 in Calgary and grew up on the family farm in Rockyford, AB. She met Bob Pettifer while teaching in Gleichen and they married on August 3, 1961. She taught in various schools in Calgary, retiring in 1993. Her passions in life were her family and friends. Liz was always available for coffee, for a chat of just to listen. She knew that people were most important and lived each day remembering others. She loved Bob and her boys, Rob and Sean. When Rob married Janelle and Sean married Denise and blessed Liz with five grandchildren (Raeanne, Cole, Jessalyn and Bodey and Kai), her love just grew. She could never get enough of her children and grandchildren and always had crafts and projects on the go for them. Liz leaves to mourn Bob, Rob and family and Sean and family, sister, Carol (Don) Pogue, brothers, Billy (Linda) Kalbhen and Johnny (Madonna) Kalbhen and many nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
