Obituary of John Hector Rolland Fontaine
Rolly Fontaine, beloved husband of Frances (nee Mullen) Fontaine of Calgary passed away on September 28, 2008 at the age of 82 years.
Rolly was born in Kimberley, BC to Omer and Ettiennette (Toni) Fontaine. Rolly worked his entire career as an electrician with Cominco in Kimberley and Pine Point, NT. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, wine making, family time, wood working and his adored puppy, Buttons.
He will be sadly missed by his devoted wife Frances; his loving daughters Denise (Gordon) Irwin, Linda Hinton, and Cathy Fontaine; stepchildren, Ray (Laurie) Titiryn, Bob (Patti) Titiryn, Paulette (Paul) Kennedy; grandchildren, Christine (Dwight) Muhlbeier, Jody Irwin, Stephan (Kendra) Hinton, Chris Hinton, Jeremy Leahy, Lynsee Leahy, Barry Titityn, Krysta (Dave) Robinson, Casey Kennedy, Jennie Titiryn, Michael (Carrie) Kennedy, and Danielle (Ken) Sutton; ten great-grandchildren; his siblings, Lucille Farran, Robert Fontaine, Jeanette Phillips, Claire Anderson and their families; and his constant companion, Buttons. Rolly was predeceased by his parents Omer and Toni Fontaine; his first wife and mother of his daughters, Jeannette (nee Dufresne); brother Leo; and several members of the extended family.
A celebration of Rolly’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at 2:00 p.m..
