Condolences
Learning of Betty’s passing saddened me greatly. I know it’s been a long time since I knew Sam and Betty, I have never forgotten them. My deepest sympathy to Sam and his family.

May 4/2010.
I just learned tonight about Betty’s passing. I am so sorry. I speak of you often. I enjoyed meeting you at your farm and your tour of the barns and all. My son Murray helped with your horses and I tried in vain to find a team for you. That was a few years ago now and I have never forgotten your kindness. Every time I speak to anyone from Frontier, I have to ask about you. Tonight a lady called about a horse and as usual I asked after you folks. Her name is Nancy Lightfoot. She told me of Betty’s passing.
My deepest sympathy.
I know now that this is 2 years later, but my feelings are the same.
Yours
Shirley Tillie
Since we have been out of touch for several years, I was saddened to learn via internet browsing of the passing of Betty. On my trips to Calgary to consult with Sam and his staff at the Elbow River Hotel and Casino in the early planning days of the new casino, it was always a pleasure to be hosted by Betty with her warm hospitality and wonderful sense of humor. I am sure has been greatly missed.
