Obituary of Joyce N. Woods

Joyce passed away into the eternal presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Friday, September 26, 2008, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Joyce grew up in the Sunnyside area of Calgary and was the eldest daughter of William and Blanche Botting. She attended Crescent Heights High School and Henderson Business College. Joyce worked for many years with her husband Frank in a variety of business enterprises. She was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and was involved at Bethany Chapel, Christian Community Church, and was supportive of Regent College, Young Life, InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, Camp Okotoks and several foreign missions. Joyce is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Rodger and Carol Mae, Bruce and Carol Jean, and Bernie and Wendy; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sister Barbara Stinton of Richmond Hill, ON; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Frank in 1981. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at Bethany Chapel (3333 Richardson Way S.W.) on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
