Obituary of Tyrone Yellow Old Woman

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic loss of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, nephew, uncle and cousin Tyrone Yellow Old Woman born on April 28, 1953 for whom the angels came and took home to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, September 17, 2008. Tyrone was a star athlete when he was younger, especially in basketball, and was a very gifted guitar player. He was a hard worker and loved his family very much. Tyrone is survived by his children, Pearl (Clinton), Sherry (Aaron), and Tyrone Jr. (Melissa); his sisters Betsy Anne McKoy (Carter), Jennifer Medicine Traveller (Clayton Sr.), and Linda Three Suns (William); his grandchildren, Shania, Naiden, Annette, Jeremiah, Nelson, Mathias, Tyisha, and Tyler; uncles Vincent (Vicki) and Edward Yellow Old Woman, Pius Three Suns, aunt Emily Three Suns; special nephew Thomas Yellow Old Woman, and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved him dearly. He is also survived by many extended relatives in the Yellow Old Woman, Three Suns, Heavy Shield, Wright, Mayfield, Winnipeg, Turning Robe, and Raw Eater families. We apologize for anyone we may have missed. Tyrone was predeceased by his mother Annette Yellow Old Woman, father Maxim Three Suns, a brother Joey Calf Child, his maternal grandparents Edward and Betsy Yellow Old Woman, his paternal grandparents Max and Mary Three Suns and paternal great- grandmother Margaret Bad Boy who gave him his Blackfoot name. Wake Services will be held at the Siksika Community Centre (Siksika Nation, AB) on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Siksika Community Centre (Siksika Nation, AB) on Monday September 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Canon Stockton Cemetery (Siksika Nation).
