Obituary of Cheryl Lynn McMeeken

Cheryl Lynn McMeeken beloved wife of Norm of Airdrie passed away on Monday, September 15, 2008 at the age of 52 years. Cheryl was born in Middleton, NS. With her father being in the Air Force, Cheryl resided in many locations throughout Canada. She met Norm in Kelowna and they were married May 3, 1974. They moved to the Brooks area later that year where Kim and Jammie were born. The family later moved to Red Deer, AB where Raelene was born. In 1982 they moved to Kelowna, BC and raised their family there, prior to moving to Airdrie, AB on October 1, 1987. In Airdrie, she saw her family grow to include sons-in-law and her five beloved grandchildren. Besides her husband Norm, Cheryl is survived by her daughters Kim (Don); Jammie (Brent); and Raelene (Gavin); grandchildren, Melissa, Shylah, Jayden, Elistan and Evan; her mother Belva Powley; and her siblings Barry, Ardythe, Darren and Kevin. Cheryl was predeceased by her father Gordon Powley. A Gathering of friends and relatives to celebrate Cheryl’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Best Western Regency Inn (121 Edmonton Trail South, Airdrie) Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
