Raymond Greenlaw

Obituary of Raymond Gordon Greenlaw

Bud followed his son Kendall (Butchie) and his recently deceased wife Barbara. Bud passed away peacefully at Rockyview General Hospital on Monday, September 15, 2008, with his daughter April by his side. Bud had recently moved to Calgary to be near his surviving brother Terry; and sisters, Jean and Ava (Ben). Ava and Ben provided wonderful care for him before he was admitted to the Rockyview where he also received outstanding care. Born in Saskatchewan, Bud was raised in Calgary, later moving to Winnipeg where he spent most of his life. As a young man, he worked hard to further his education and earned a successful career in the feed industry. He was especially proud to receive the President’s Honour Award from Beatrice International at a presentation in Vienna. Bud and Barbara enjoyed travelling and memorable meals with family and friends. His generosity has been appreciated by many. Bud will also be remembered by his grandchildren, Evan and Kelly of Thames, New Zealand; his nieces and nephews; and Rick, Cindy and Jason. He was predeceased by his brothers, Brian and Doug. At Bud’s request, there will be no formal service. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the charity of the donor’s choice. In living memory of Bud Greenlaw, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES Fish Creek Chapel, 14441 BANNISTER ROAD S.E. Telephone: (403) 256-9575.
