Obituary of Yim King Poon

Ma Yim King, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 6, 2008 at the age of 87 years at Calgary’s Foothills Hospital, surrounded by family. Ma Yim King was born March 15, 1921 in Toishan, Guangdong Province, China. She spent the first part of her life in China and immigrated to Calgary in 1972. She is survived by her son, Ron Poon (Eliza) and grandsons Arthur and Arvin; brothers, Ken Mah (Mee Han), Danny Mah (Wendy); sisters, Anna Wong (Joe), Donna Chin (Victor), Julie Woo (Roy), Bonnie Louie (Eddie). Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queens Park Cemetery.
