Obituary of Ruby Hagel

Ruby Hagel of Calgary, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2008 at the age of 70 years. Ruby grew up in Acme, AB, where she later met the love of her life, Manny Hagel. Together they raised their family in Beiseker, and moved to Calgary in 1973. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who always enjoyed time with her family and friends. Ruby is survived by her children, Randy (Shannon) Hagel, Sherri Hagel, Laura (Willie) Dueck and Bruce (Nathalie) Hagel; and eight grandchildren, Becky (Jimmy Parker), Katie, Christopher, David, Michelle, Jonathan, Matthew and Natasha. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Fischer of Calgary, her brother and sister-in-law Leroy and Carol Fischer of Beiseker, two sisters Ellie Anhorn of Calgary and Rita Griego of Portland, OR. Ruby was predeceased by her beloved husband Manny in 2000 and her father Emil Fischer in 1963. Funeral Services will be held at Centre Street Church (3900 – 2nd Street N.E.) on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
