Obituary of Dawn Colleen Madsen

Dawn Colleen Madsen (nee Thompson) passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 after a brave battle with cancer at the Rosedale Hospice in Calgary, AB. Dawn was born September 18, 1961 in Yorkton, SK. She enjoyed spending time with her many friends, family members and she especially loved time spent with her two children; daughter Ashley and son Carter. Dawn’s love for travelling was evident through her yearly trips to the cabin at Madge Lake and her numerous trips to warm destinations with close friends. Her trip to Mexico this past winter with Ashley and Carter was truly a highlight for her. Dawn will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, beautiful smile, caring disposition, courage, unwavering faith and the unconditional love that she had for all friends and family. Dawn leaves behind many friends and several family members including; her daughter Ashley Dawn Madsen; her son Carter Ross Madsen; parents Jackie and Howie Fehrenbach; brother Bruce Thompson (Karla); sisters Camille (Blair) Ryan, and Kristine (Darren) Hinz; brother Tyler (Krystal) Fehrenbach; nieces Tanya, Kelsey, Cassidy and Camryn; and nephews Tanner, Hayden and Ty her grandmother (GG) Bertha Morosoff; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her father Robert Malcolm Thompson, grandfather Malcolm Thompson, grandmother Ora Thompson, grandfather Peter Morosoff, and many other beloved family members.
