Obituary of Wilma Alice Stencel

Wilma Alice Stencel (nee Hunt) of Calgary passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the age of 81 years. Wilma was born on June 6, 1927 in Coaldale, AB. She grew up on a farm in Iron Springs, AB near Lethbridge. Wilma was a Christian and attended church throughout her lifetime. In the spring of 1958, she married Carl Leo Stencel. They became business entrepreneurs, investing in real estate. After her loved husband passed away, being blessed by God, she gave herself to her family and friends. Wilma found joy in helping people and was a very giving and an unselfish person. Wilma is survived by her sisters and brother-in-law, Robert and Jean Wright of Innisfail, AB, Mary Bittner, and Joyce Harvey; nieces and nephews, Nora (Bill) Niddrie, Elaine (Dean) Knorr, Bill Wright, Ian Wright, Russell (Vicky) Harvey, Glen (Jovita) Harvey, and Kevin (Cheryl) Harvey. Funeral Services will be held at Renfrew Baptist Church (1204 Renfrew Drive N.E.) on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Family Graveside Service will be held at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
