Obituary of Robert Douglas Doug Young

Robert Douglas Young passed away peacefully at Carewest Sarcee on Thursday, August 28, 2008 at the age of 97 years. Doug was born on July 15, 1911 in Alsask, SK. Doug and his wife Ruth spent most of their life residing in Kimberley, BC, Comox, BC and the last ten years in Calgary. Doug is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Bob Muir of Calgary; four grandchildren, Tracy and Neil Bantleman of Singapore, Todd and Thanh Muir of Whitecourt, AB, Rob and Jen Young of Vancouver, BC, Fred Young of Vancouver, BC; three great-grandchildren, Kasey, Tazer and Kiara; sister-in-law Helen Young; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews. Doug was predeceased by his loving wife Ruth; son Bob, daughter-in-law Jean and brother Pat. A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
