Obituary of Friar Fernand Joseph Rousseau

Brother Fernand Rousseau OFM of Mount St. Francis Retreat, Cochrane, AB passed away on August 21, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Brother Fernand was born on June 20, 1926 in St. Boniface, Manitoba. He joined the Franciscan Friars in 1956 and spent his novitiate year in Sherbrooke, Quebec. He dedicated his talents as a handyman for the Friar communities for his whole Franciscan life, mainly in Edmonton, Lumsden, SK, Winnipeg & Cochrane. Besides his Franciscan Brothers, Fernand leaves to mourn his sisters, Henriette (John) Fedak, Fabiola (Albert) Lambert, Lorraine (Denis) Schaubroech, and Doreen Rousseau; as well as brothers, Roy (Therese) Rousseau, and Ernest (Cecile) Rousseau, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Noella Davies and baby brother, George.
