Obituary of Wytze Sybe Koldyk
Wytze Koldyk of Calgary passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2008 at the age of 71 years. Wytze was born on May 6, 1937 and immigrated to Calgary, Canada in 1968. During his career as a Geologist he resided in such places as, Angola, Spain and Libya. Wytze was a devoted member of Grace Presbyterian Church and held the position of Elder. He believed in helping others which led to his involvement with Inn from the Cold, the Thrift Store, his church, and on a mission to Mexico. The most important thing in Wytze’s life was his family and friends. His biggest passions included anything from Bach classical music, opera, and the mountains of Alberta. Wytze is survived by his two sons, Michiel and Martijn; their mother Elsje Jansen; his two sisters; his close friend, Glenn Watts; and by hundreds of other friends and family. He was predeceased by his parents Sybe Sikke Koldijk and Petronella Helena Diederica Koldijk. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Thursday, August 21, 2008 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (1009 – 15th Avenue S.W.) on Friday, August 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation to commence at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
