Obituary of James Athol Brown
James Athol (Ath) Brown beloved husband of Kathleen (Kaye) Brown of Calgary, passed away on Monday, August 11, 2008 at the age of 84 years. Ath was an avid golfer and thoroughly enjoyed the challenge. He was passionate about aviation and was a railroad enthusiast. Ath was a giving person and mentor to many. He served in the Royal Canadian Airforce and attended the University of Alberta, later working in the oil and gas industry where he specialized as a logistic consultant until his retirement. Ath is survived by his loving wife, Kaye; son, Kim A. Brown and daughter Zoe Anne Brown; his grandson, Chad Samphire and granddaughter Katie Kushner and one great grandchild. sister, Barbara A. (Doug) Shearer; brother, Ken M. (Sylvia) Brown; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation with a private family service to be held at a later date.
