Obituary of Bull Bear – Black Kettle

Our Heavenly Father took our Beloved Angel Katia Mary Haze back to her home in Heaven on August 7, 2008, with her loving parents and loved ones by her side. Katia was born prematurely at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. It was a blessing to have been able to hold our little angel Katia in our arms. She will forever be remembered by her parents Shawna Rae Bull Bear and Cody Black Kettle; sister Shaniqua; brothers Cobyn and Aadon; maternal grandparents Audrey Bull Bear and Glen Black Horse, and Michael Black Kettle and Becky Cutter. Katia also leaves to mourn her Aunties Charnelle, Adrianne, Jocelyn (Garrett); Uncles Galen, Jason, Jessy, and Kelsey; numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins; grant grandfather Ed Wolf Child Sr. (Bernice). Katia was very fortunate to be part of a very large extended family that includes Bull Bear, Many Guns, Big Tobacco, Cut Mane, Red Gun, Rabbit Carrier, Fox, Scalplock, Hind Bull, Black Horse, Water Chief, Old Woman, McMaster, Right Hand, Wolf Child, Black Kettle, Winnipeg, Crane Bear, Bear Chief, Sleigh, Little Chief, Turning Robe, Cutter, Red Crow, Little Light and other relatives too numerous to mention. Katia had relatives from Siksika, Calgary, Tsuu T’ina, Hobbema, Brocket, Kainai, and in Montana. Katia was recently predeceased by her great granny Mary Bull Bear (May 2008), Aunties Vanessa Red Crow (July 2008) and Leslie Bear Chief (April 2007). She was also predeceased by her great grandfather David Bull Bear, great grandparents Alex and Annie Black Kettle, and great grandmothers Phyllis Black Horse and Leona Cutter; as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and great aunt and uncles. The family apologizes for anyone we may have missed. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Siksika Nation, AB) on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Little Chicago Cemetery.
