Obituary of Big Snake

James Big Snake born February 21, 1923 went home to be with our Lord on June 30, 2008 after a brief illness. James leaves to mourn his beloved sister and caregiver, Teresa (Wallace) Bear Chief, sister Joan Brown Weasel and sister-in-law Mary Lillian Big Snake. James lived in his own beautiful world of silence and shared a lot of love and compassion to those who knew him in the Cluny area. Affectionately known as "MOWGLI" by his precious nephew and niece Teagan and Emma. James is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; extended families, Big Snakes, Rosalyn Breaker and family, Drunken Chiefs, Crow Chiefs, Good Eagles, Many Fires, Sleighs, Wolf Legs and Three Suns. James was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Maggie Big Snake; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Mary White Headed Chief (1953); brother, Bernard Big Snake; sister, Margaret Young Man; uncles; Dave Sun Shoe, Tom Storm, Simon Big Snake, Paulus Good Eagle, Joe Good Eagle, George Crow Chief and Steve Many Fires, aunts; Maggie Drunken Chief, Ann Mary Big Snake and cousin, Audrey Crane. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Cluny, AB.) on August 4, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at Holy Trinity Catholic Church (Cluny, AB) on August 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
