Obituary of Nadia Mary Doerksen
With love, sadness and fond memories, we announce the passing of our mother Nadia, after she lost her gallant battle with cancer at age 74. Nadia was born in Edmonton, AB to Katherine and John Fedor. She worked at Eaton’s Centre for over twenty years. Nadia will be lovingly remembered by her son Alan (Teena) Petersen; her daughter Lynn (Garry) Britton; her four grandchildren, Bert (BJ) Britton, Kimberly Britton (Garett Dick), Katrina Petersen and Brandon Petersen. She is also survived by her sisters, Lavia Borys and Sylvia (Bob) Mulcahy. She was predeceased by her brother Peter Fedor and brother-in-law Peter Borys. In 2005, God brought an angel into her life; she soon married Isaac (Ike) Doerksen who loved her dearly. She was welcomed into his family by his daughter Darlene (Ken) Fach and his son Glenn (Claudia) Doerksen. She will be dearly missed by all of them, their children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Nadia’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
