Obituary of Muriel Patricia Bragg
Muriel Bragg of Calgary and formerly of Saskatoon, SK, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008 at the age of 88 years.
Muriel was born in the Pipestone, SK area and was raised in Kennedy and Wapella, SK. Muriel married Doug Bragg in 1942 in Regina and resided in Wapella, SK until 1962 when they moved to Saskatoon. While in Saskatoon, Muriel was an active member of Grosvenor Park United Church, as well as the Cosmo Pals. Muriel was a compassionate, loving and caring person and always enjoyed doing things for others. Following the death of her husband in 1987, Muriel moved to Calgary 1992 and has been a resident of the Beverly Care Centre since 2002.
Muriel is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Brian Murphy; son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Linda Bragg of Saskatoon; five grandchildren, Brett (Janet) Murphy, Trevor (Sheri) Murphy, Erin (Jason) Sharma, Heather Bragg, and Kelly Bragg; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Murphy, Shaela and Raina Sharma, and Cooper Murphy. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law Margaret and Jim Gibson of Calgary, their daughters Jayne and Jennifer and their families; brother and sister-in-law Gordon and Bunnie MacFarlane of Guelph, ON, their daughters Megan and Keri Ellen, son Clark and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Doug; and her parents George and Marian (nee Campbell) MacFarlane.
Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow on a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery, Saskatoon, SK.
