Obituary of Margaret Anne Rook

With very sad hearts, the family of Margaret Anne Rook beloved wife of Gus Rook passed away suddenly at her home in Bearspaw on July 16, 2008 at the age of 50 years. Margaret was born on April 19, 1958 and raised on the family farm in Bearspaw, AB. She graduated from Cochrane High School in 1976 with honours, and went on to be an outstanding legal secretary for the law firms Beaumont Church and Bennett Jones. Margaret was very active in both the Bearspaw 4-H Dairy club and Bearspaw 4-H Beef Club, and had a great gift for public speaking. She was also a very accomplished pianist. Margaret will lovingly be remembered for her kind heartedness, strong devotion to family and friends, along with her pride for her family heritage and farming roots. On November 18, 1996 Margaret married Gus Rook in Hawaii – her favourite vacation spot. Besides her loving husband Gus, Margaret is survived by her father, Robert Marston; sister, Maureen Marston-Garyk; brother-in-law, Mitch Garyk and her two beloved nephews, Shane and John Ramsay (J.R) Garyk. Margaret was predeceased by her infant sister, Caroline in 1957 and her mother Margaret Jean Marston (nee Ramsey) in 2007. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Cochrane Funeral Home (369 Railway Street, Cochrane, AB) on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park.
