Obituary of Wilfred Lawrence Kaulback

Wilfred Lawrence Kaulback of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the age of 86 years. Wilfred was born in Dalhousie Kings County, Nova Scotia and served our country overseas during WWII. On July 1, 1954 he married the love of his life, Lilla. Wilfred attended Northminster United Church for fifty years, and passionately sang in Sunday services. He loved gardening, horticulture and in his later years learned to play golf with an eager zest. Wilfred also enjoyed spirited political discussions and he had a keen sense of social justice. At parties, Wilfred would enthusiastically dance the night away, with endless delight. He was a loving husband, proud father and grandfather who will be dearly missed. Besides his loving wife Lilla, Wilfred is remembered by his children Chris and (Moira) Kaulback, Max Kaulback and (Claudia Griebel), Camilla Kaulback and (Rick Valdarchi); grandchildren Claire, Cameron, Quentin, Braiden and Thomas. He is also survived by one sister, Evangeline Matheson, in Nova Scotia and two brothers, James and Thornton in Edmonton. Funeral Services will be held at Northminster United Church (3311 Centre Street North) on Saturday, July 12, 2008 at 1:00 p.m., Rev. Paul Mullen officiating.
