Obituary of Douglas George Webster Beattie

Douglas George Webster Beattie beloved husband of Frances, of Airdrie, passed away suddenly on Monday, July 7, 2008 at the age of 63 years. Douglas was born on February 7, 1945 in Broughty Ferry, Scotland. He completed his training and apprenticeship as a baker before immigrating to Canada with his wife Frances in 1967. They lived in Calgary for a number of years before moving to Airdrie in 1979. Besides his loving wife of forty-two years, Frances, Douglas is mourned by his dear sister Lily of Dundee, Scotland; his four children, Stuart (Pauline), of Beiseker, Brian (Kerry), Heather (Brad) and Alison (Robert), all of Airdrie. Douglas was a proud and caring grandfather to his beloved grandchildren, Mickayla, Daegan, Shae-Lynn, Kenneth, Kaylie, Bronsen, Rowan and Keira, who will miss their Grandpa and Poppa very much. Douglas was predeceased by his mother Georgina and his father George.
