Obituary of Romeo Meriot Lalonde

Romeo Lalonde, beloved husband of Marian of Calgary, passed away on Friday, July 4, 2008 at the age of 74 years. Romeo was born in Cornwall, ON. He served in the Korean War with the Canadian Armed Forces and also spent time in Egypt on Peacekeeping duties. Romeo’s big passion was metal detecting and telling stories. He was fond of bowling and was a great collector of everything. Besides his loving wife Marian, Romeo is survived by his five sons and three daughters and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren all of Cornwall, ON; six stepchildren and their families of Calgary, AB. He is also survived by sister Patricia (Ken) Warden of Cornwall, On. He was predeceased by his parents Emma and Charles Lalonde and stepson Stephen Sauve. A Celebration of Romeo’s life will be held at Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
