Obituary of Annunziato Amoruso

Annunziato Amoruso beloved husband of Gesa of Calgary, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital at age of 89 years. Annunziato was born February 24, 1919 in Staletti, Italy. He married Gesa Posca on April 27, 1952 then immigrated to Calgary, Alberta in 1955. Besides his loving wife Gesa, Annunziato is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Rocco Amoruso and Dominic and Jessica Amoruso, both of Calgary, Alberta; six grandchildren Amanda (Bilal), Annunziato, Victor, Jocelyn, Denise and Samantha; two great-grandchildren Najibeh and Ali. He is also survived by two brothers Giovanni and Salvatore; three sisters Concetta, Angela, Maria; his sister-in-law Maria and numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Gregorio and sister Teresa. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Sunday, June 6, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Monday, July 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
