Obituary of Mary Louise Rossow

Our beloved Mary Lou passed away after a short illness at the Peter Lougheed Hospital on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 with her family by her side at the age of 75 years. Mary Lou was born in Minnesota and spent most of her growing up years in Buffalo, New York moving to Calgary after she married her husband Albert. Mary Lou worked at The Bay Distribution Centre in Calgary, followed by a long time job with Suncor Energy where she eventually retired from in 1983. Mary Lou was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and wonderful friend. She is survived by Al, her husband of 57 years. She will also be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sue Thompson and Rod Skrip; her son and daughter-in-law Robert and Kim Rossow and her treasured granddaughter Lauren Rossow. She will also be remembered by her sister Phyllis (Ron) Prazmark; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Lou was very kind and thoughtful. She was always willing to open her home and her heart to others. Her devotion to her friends was only surpassed by her passion for her family. She will be sorely missed. Although her passing brings much sorrow and sadness, the life she lived was one of love and caring, always showing us to think of others and to love all who come before us.
