Obituary of Hilda Theresa Griffin

Hilda Theresa Griffin passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, AB. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Hilda was born in Kerrobert, SK and married Ralph Griffin 1952. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church and a member of the CWL for fifty years and served a term as president. Hilda will be sadly missed by her many relatives, friends, neighbors and many acquaintances. It is sad to say goodbye, but it gives us great joy to remember her enjoyment in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Hilda is survived by her children, Dale of Oklahoma, Lance (Terry) of Dewinton, AB, Cheryl (Norman) George of Airdrie, AB; as well as six grandchildren, Jack (Hayley), Samantha, Lindsey, Jared, Brennan, and Haley; and two great-grandchildren Clark and Ava. She also leaves to mourn her father Frank Halter; and five sisters, Ursula, Florence, RoseLynn, Caroline, and Diana. Hilda was predeceased by her husband of thirty-seven years, Ralph Griffin, and her mother Catherine Halter. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (1305 Main Street) on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
