Obituary of Donald Smith Briggs

Donald Smith Briggs of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the age of 82 years. Don was born in Three Hills, AB. He was employed at Ace Construction for forty-five years. Following his retirement Don enjoyed building and flying model air planes as well as travelling. Don is remembered by his daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Dan Beaudet and three grandchildren Lisa, Marc and Andrea. He is also survived by four sisters Olive, Fay, Inez and Irene; four brothers-in-law Glen, Jack, Pat and Eddy and two sisters-in-law Mae and Peggy; as well as his special friend "Smiley". Don was predeceased by his wife June on December 26, 2004 and his sister Edith. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
