Obituary of Victor Currie
Victor, beloved husband of Helen, father of daughter, Karen (Rob) and son, Michael, passed at the Chinook Care Centre on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 5:30 a.m. at the age of 79 years.
Vic was born and raised in Calgary and was employed with the C.P.R. for thirty-nine years. He retired in 1986 and soon after began volunteering with the Haysboro Community Association, the Haysboro 50 Plus Club, and the Elderly Friendly group. He enjoyed lawn bowling with the Stanley Park Lawn Bowling League.
Victor was predeceased by his parents, Violet and John Currie. He is survived by brother, Jack (Joy) of Delta, British Columbia, brother, Don (Doreen) of Calgary, Alberta, and brother, Archie (Carmen) of Cochrane, Alberta; and by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff at the Chinook Care Centre for their compassionate care. At Victor’s request, no funeral service will be held.
