Obituary of Elswood Wesley Atkinson

Elswood Wesley Atkinson, beloved husband of Agnes Atkinson, passed away peacefully in his wife’s arms on June 17, 2008 at the age of 78 years at the Southwood Care Centre. Elswood was born in Portage La Prairie, MB. He married Agnes Gregoire in 1953. Prior to settling in Calgary in 1967, Elswood worked and lived in many locations enjoying his career as a pipeline welder, which he retired from in 1987. Besides his loving wife, Elswood will be missed by his children, Donna, Frank (Karen), Susan and Janet; grandchildren, Jamie, Aaron (Kim), Jennie, Amanda and Jessi; six great-grandchildren; brother, Carl (Ty); sister, Joyce and sisters-in-law, Beatrice and Kay. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Lucy Atkinson; brothers, Ralph, John and Lorne; and sister, Doris. At the family’s request, no service will be held.
