Obituary of van der Woerd

Frances (Fran) Marie van der Woerd (nee Vacon), beloved wife of Hans of Calgary, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the age of 77 years. Fran’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, singing and listening to music. She always lived her life to the fullest, spreading great joy with her terrific sense of humour and love of life. Besides her loving husband Hans, Fran will be remembered by her daughters and son-in-law, Darlene, Cathy and Liesbeth and Phil Craig; her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Lynda; seven grandchildren, Robert, Alicia, Steven, Jonn (Michelle), Liesbeth, Mitchell and Colin; two great-grandchildren, Cole and Logan; as well as her brother Clarence Vacon; sisters and brother-in-law, Theresa and Eric Landry, Pauline Vacon and Estelle Foster. She was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Josephine Vacon; son Allen Joseph van der Woerd; brothers, Alcide Vacon, Everette Vacon and Clifford Vacon; and sisters Neomise Muise and Freeda Vacon. A Celebration of Fran’s Life will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (1414 Shawnessy Boulevard S.W.) on Monday, June 23, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
