Obituary of Rosemary McIntyre

Our beloved Rosemary, mother, wife, sister, and friend, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, following pancreatic cancer, on Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Rosemary was born October 19, 1947 in Regina, Saskatchewan. Peter and Rose were childhood sweethearts. They met February 28, 1964 at a dance in Regina. The poster from that dance has hung in their home since then. Rosemary was loved by many, especially the friends of her daughters, who knew they were always welcome at Rosemary’s house and table. She was affectionately known as Rosie, Auntie Rosie, Mama Bear and lately, Grandma Rosie. Rosemary is survived by her husband of 38 years, Peter; their five children: Michelle, Jennifer (Trevor), Angela (Caleb), Stephanie and Jessica; and their six grandchildren, Jacob, Maya, Ben, Sophie, Eva and Finley. She is also survived by her sisters Gloria, Elfreda, and Jacqueline; and brothers John and Albert. Rosemary was predeceased by her parents John and Amelia Dixon, her sisters Rachael, Dorothy, Marie, and Doreen, and her brother George. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Thursday, June 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic Church (2424 – 24th Avenue N.W.) on Friday, June 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
