Obituary of Stefania Farion

Stefania Farion (nee Borodynsky) passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the age of 83 years. She was born January 4, 1925 in Havarechyna, Zolochiw, Ukraine. Stefania came to Canada in 1948 and soon after met Mykola Farion. They married in 1950 and settled in Calgary in 1951 where they raised their family. Stefania enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking for her family but she was most proud to be Baba to her grandchildren. Stefania is survived by her son Paul (Helena); daughter Lesia (Ron) and her grandchildren Tiffany, Jessica and Blake Farion and Adam Hildebrandt. She was predeceased by her beloved Mykola in 1993 and by her brothers and sisters in Ukraine.
