Obituary of Lorne Swan
Lorne Swan, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, of Calgary, passed away on Monday, June 9, 2008 at the age of 47 years.
Lorne was an avid military collector. He enjoyed camping with his two sons, something that was started with his family when he was a boy. Lorne worked for many years as a printer. Then he followed his brother into the plumbing trade, soon to be followed by his son, Matthew. We were told Lorne died of an enlarged heart. Those of us who knew and loved him always knew he had a big heart.
Lorne’s favourite expression was, “He done left his hurts behind him.”
Lorne leaves behind two sons, Matthew and William, and their mother, Patricia; his mother, Pat; his sister, Teri and brother, John; his wife, Tania; nephew, Jeremy and niece, Jordyn; and too many friends to count. Lorne was predeceased by his daughter, Lucy in 1980; son, Zachorie in 1984; and his father, John in 1989.
