Obituary of Alfred Roy Hill
Alfred Roy Hill, beloved husband of the late Lillian “Mickey” Oviatt passed away on Friday, June 6, 2008 at the age of 96 years.
Alfred is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Jolayne and Larry Whitehead of Calgary, AB, Renee and Allen Rhyasen of Vancouver, WA, and Jocelyn and Shawn Lee of Vernon, BC; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Albert Hill of Calgary, and Bob Hill of Vulcan, AB. Besides his wife Lillian, Alfred was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters and his son Alfred Bryce.
Alfred was a loving and faithful father and husband and was a positive influence on all those who knew him. He farmed for many years in Sundial, Claresholm and Nanton areas before retiring to Calgary where he worked for Fluor Canada and Dome Petroleum. Alfred was a High Priest in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bow Valley Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (24 Avenue and Crowchild Trail N.W.) on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service will be held at the I.O.O.F. Stavely Cemetery on Saturday, June 14, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
