Obituary of Gerald David Seib
Gerald David Seib, beloved husband of Ida Seib of Calgary, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the age of 57 years.
Gerald was born on February 6, 1951 in Swan River, MB. At the age of seventeen he attended M.I.T. in Winnipeg and graduated with his degree in Civil Engineering Technology. He moved to Edmonton when he was nineteen and began employment with Chevron. Gerald later began employment with Propak Systems on December 16th, 1977 and was employed there as a technologist, and at the time of his passing, Gerald was Vice President of Operations. Gerald enjoyed many things in life. Some of his fondest memories include his travels around the world, skiing adventures, camping out in the Okanagan, and for the past seven years found great enjoyment in watching his daughters play basketball. Gerald will be lovingly remembered by his wife of twenty-seven years, Ida and the two other loves of his life, daughters Samantha and Alexandra. Gerald will also be greatly missed by his brother Ken Seib of Swan River; sister-in-law Judy Seib of Swan River; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles of both Ida’s family and the Seib’s. He was predeceased by his parents Theresa and Hugo Seib; and brother Allan Seib. Gerald will also be deeply missed by many friends and colleagues.
