Obituary of Benjamin Gelfond

Benjamin Gelfond, of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at the age of 88 years. Ben was a loving father to his daughter and son-in-law Nadine and David and a proud Zaida of Jeremy and Emily. Ben was also the dear uncle of three generations of nieces and nephews and a very dear friend of Georg McKay. He also leaves numerous cousins and friends including the wonderful staff and residents at Confederation Park Lodge. Ben was predeceased by his wife, Thelma. He will be sadly missed. Graveside Services will be held at the Jewish Cemetery (Erlton Street and 30th Ave S.W.) on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, 200 – 325 Manning Rd.
