Obituary of Jeffery Kent Haslehurst
Kent Haslehurst beloved husband of Irma of Calgary passed away on Monday, June 2, 2008 at the age of 67 years.
Kent was born on March 2, 1941 in Long Branch, ON. On October 3, 1964 Kent married the love of his life Irma. Kent went on to work as a retail sales manager for Woolco stores which took him around Canada living in Toronto, Stratford, ON, Port Coquitlam, BC, Red Deer, Calgary, Grande Prairie, AB. He went on to work for Sears in Grande Prairie and Calgary, AB. He became the youngest Woolco manager at the age of twenty-nine. Kent took part in the Grande Prairie marching band as a Bass Drummer, and went on to become the band president. He enjoyed travelling, visiting places like Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Central America. Kent also enjoyed spending time in the mountains as well as the resort at Gleniffer Lake.
Besides his loving wife Irma, Kent is survived by his sons, Greg (Carmen) and Kevin; grandchildren, Crimson and Sierra; brothers, William (Doris) and John (Hilary); as well as his sister in laws, Elfrieda Zimmermann and family, Leonarda Szewczyk and family.
He was predeceased by his parents Russell and Anna Haslehurst.
