Obituary of Van Dusen

Beloved husband of Edna, and our dear son, brother, uncle and friend, Al Van Dusen, passed away at Rockyview Hospital on May 16, 2008 after a brief illness. Al impacted all he met, and proudly served his community as a member of the Calgary Police Service in various units from 1971 until his retirement as Detective in 2002. Besides his loving wife, Al is survived by his mother, Freda Orr of Cochrane; sister, Kate Van Dusen of Vancouver; brothers, Rod (Diane) Orr of Edmonton and John (Donna) Orr of Cochrane; nephews and nieces, James (Zandra) Munro of Mexico City, Everett Orr of Edmonton, Meagan and Evan Orr of Cochrane, as well as numerous relatives and extended family in Ontario. He was predeceased by his father Lloyd Van Dusen and stepfather Ernest Orr. A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive South West) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 10:00 AM.
