Obituary of Maree Walkey

Maree Monica Walkey (nee Fallwell) passed away peacefully in her home in Bowness where she had been a resident since 1944 on Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the age of 85 years. Maree is survived by Leland, her husband of sixty-five years; four sons, Lanny, George, Bryan and Scott; seven daughters, Penny Fournier, Janet Price, Marilynne Hall, Sandy McCallum, Judy Haggblad, Susan Martin, and Pam Carpenter; twenty-one grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Maree is also survived by two sisters, Doreen Swan and Patricia Craddock and a brother, Ron Fallwell. She was predeceased by one son, Read in 1973. Maree was loved by all and she will be greatly missed. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Thursday, May 22, 2008 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m and on Friday, May 23, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. Edmund’s Anglican Church (8336 – 34th Avenue N.W.) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to St. Edmund’s Anglican Church, 8336-34th Ave. N.W.
