Obituary of Maria Bell

Maria Bell of Calgary passed away on Friday, May 16, 2008 at the age of 89 years. Maria is survived by her son and daughter-in-law John and Jill Bell; her grandchildren, Naomi, Brian, Cameron, and Ian; as well as her daughter Janice Bell, all of Calgary. She is also survived by her sister Emily (Morley) Douglas of Edmonton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Maria was predeceased by her husband Cecil Bell, her parents Thorarin and Gudrun, brothers, Sigfus, Joe, Hallgrimur (Mike), Einar, and her sister Hannah Legere. Maria was most recently a resident of the Chinook Care Centre, previous to that she lived at Trinity Lodge, but her long time home was in Brentwood. She was a school aide for the Calgary Board of Education for fifteen years and loved working with children. A Celebration of Maria’s life will be held at McInnis & Holloway’s Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
