Obituary of William Kenneth Beattie

William Kenneth (Bill) Beattie passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the age of 56 years, after a short but courageous battle with leukemia. Besides his loving wife Diane, Bill is survived by his daughters, Jocelyn (Josh) Withell and Andrea, and their mother Pat, as well as his stepson Nicholas MacLeod. Bill also leaves behind his mother Dorothy; his brothers, Dave, Jim (Rita), and Paul; his sisters, Lorrie (Gary) Sloane, and Emily Prestwick. Bill will be sadly missed by numerous extended family members and friends who were foremost in his life. Bill was predeceased by his father George, his brother Norm, and his brother-in-law George Prestwick. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Bill enjoyed life to the fullest and maintained a positive attitude even throughout his illness.
